Electric Sectional Directional Control Valve Series 36. The Series 36 is available with electric unloading in the inlet section. The flow goes directly to tank in the neutral condition. Neutral flow does not pass through the spool sections; therefore, the neutral pressure drop to tank remains low and constant regardless of the number of spool sections. This neutral path is closed whenever a section is activated. If two or more spools are shifted simultaneously, then the spool sections are in parallel. In parallel the flow will take the path of least resistance and the lightest load will move first. The spools are shifted by solenoid controlled pilot valves. This method assures positive shifting and it also minimizes the amperage draw. It is common to have applications where high flow above 15 gpm (56.7 lpm) is needed out some sections and low flow below 15 gpm (56.7 lpm) is needed out other sections. The Series 38 can be used for high flow and the Series 36 can be used for low flow. Series 36 and Series 38 sections can be stacked together to meet both flow requirements. Any combination up to twelve sections can be assembled. Flow can be controlled by machining a pocket in the pressure line so that an orifice plate can fit between the spool sections. If more than one orifice is used in an assembly, then they must be arranged with the largest orifice first (closest to the inlet). Precision ground heat treated spool assures long life. Diamond honed spool bore provides consistent spool fit with low leakage. ORing ports to eliminate leakage. Oil grooves on the spool provide smooth spool motion. Pilot cartridge assures positive force to shift spool. 12 gpm (45.4 lpm) Nominal Capacity (see flow chart). 3500 psi (241 bar). 100 psi (6.9 bar) max tank pressure. 12 sections max (consult factory for more). 10 Micron Filtration Recommended. Assembly Torque = 85 inch-lbs. (9.6 N m). Spool Leakage = Less than 0.50 in3 (819 cm3)at 1000 psi. Weight -Inlet/outlet = 6 lbs. Low spool section = 4 lbs. High spool section = 6.5 lbs. Above weights include cartridge, coil, and reliefs. Port Sizes -Inlet / Outlet #10SAE (7/8 14). Work Ports #8SAE (3/4 16). 110 mS for unloader. 600 mS for section. Hydraulic Monoblock Solenoid Control Valve, 1 Spool, 13 GPM, 12V DC. Hydraulic Monoblock Valves are a style of Hydraulic Control valve. These valves are used to start and stop fluid flow into hydraulic cylinders. The number of cylinders that a control valve can operate is dependent on the number of spools on a valve. The flow rate listed is the maximum allowed GPM (Gallons Per Minute) that can be put through a valve. A common example of a hydraulic control valve is the loader valve on a tractor. Our monoblock valves have power beyond Capability (Power Beyond Adapter Sleeve is required SKU: P40-PB), as well as the ability to operate as a closed-center valve (Closed-Center Plug Required SKU: P40-CC). Operate hydraulic cylinders (Double-Acting or Single-Acting): Grapples (Tilt/Raise Cylinders), Box Blade (Height Adjustment). Install rear remotes on a tractor. Operate Winches (“A” Spool). Raise/Lower Dump Truck Bed (“A” Spool). Operate Cylinders for Snow Plows (“A” Spools). Two Spool Options Available. A Spool (Controls Double Acting Cylinders). All spools are double acting with spring return to neutral position, A spool is designed to control double acting cylinders. A and B ports are closed to Tank in neutral position. Youll need to answer the following questions. Is the flow through this valve less than 13 GPM? If not, then we have larger Z80 valves that can accommodate up to 21 GPM, and Z100 Valves if the flow is between 21 GPM and 27 GPM. If installing on a tractor please check tractor-data. Com, it will say under the hydraulics Pump Flow of the data sheet. The GPM flow may be printed on the pump itself. Do you have an open-center hydraulic system? If youre installing this on a tractor please check tractor-data. Com, it will say under the hydraulics of the data sheet. These valves are setup for use on open-center hydraulic systems. If you do have a closed-center system youll need to get the closed center adapter plug. NOTE : None of our valves have load-sensing capabilities. Do you have other valves downstream from this valve (Examples include: Other Control Valves, Rear Remote Valve, Backhoe Valve, 3-Point Valve)? If so, youll need the power beyond adapter sleeve to provide pressure and flow to those valves. Note : This is only needed on open-center hydraulic systems. If you have a closed-center system, you will tee into a pressure line to connect other valves. Are you operating a hydraulic cylinder or a hydraulic motor? If youre operating a hydraulic cylinder youll need to get A spools for double acting cylinders, if youre operating a hydraulic motor youll need D spools for motor control. Note : D spools cannot be used for operating hydraulic cylinders and A spools cannot be used to operate hydraulic motors. Do you need a switch or do you want to provide your own? These are momentary push-button switches that allow you to extend/retract cylinder or turn on/off hydraulic motors. As soon as the button is released fluid the flow into the cylinder or motor will stop. These switches with this valve include the 10′ Harness, giving you 12′ between switch and valve. If you’d rather build or provide your own switch that can be done as well.
